What to expect during the consultation

During the initial appointment your physiotherapist will ask you to explain what you would like help with.  She will then ask you questions about your symptoms and your past medical history.  This will likely include questions about your bladder, bowels and/or any sexual difficulties.  She may then look at things such as your posture, pelvic position, muscle strength or length.   You will then be given a thorough explanation of the physiotherapist’s findings and treatment plan.  We use lots of diagrams and models to help ensure you better understand your body and the specific condition affecting you.
