Lisa Yates is an experienced physiotherapist with a special interest in the pelvic floor.  As a Mother of three young children and also a qualified personal trainer, Lisa is passionate about all things “pelvic floor”. She is advocate for safe return to exercise post-pregnancy and was one of the pioneers behind the Pelvic floor first campaign.

When not at work Lisa and her husband Jeff are often seen chasing their three children around Pukekura park and travelling the country to various  gymnastics events.

Lisa speaks regularly about the Pelvic floor and has written numerous articles for parenting publications. She has presented exercise sessions on TVNZs Good Morning and also appeared on TVNZ’s Breakfast and Jacquie Brown’s series; Keep calm and carry on. She wrote and co-produced The Core & The Floor DVD - New Zealand’s first post-pregnancy  exercise programme which has helped thousands of women get in shape after pregnancy and birth.

Lisa was formerly the International Organisation of Physiotherapists in  Women's Health (IOPTWH) representative for New Zealand  and is a cuurent and active committee member of Physiotherapy New Zealands' Pelvic, Women's & Men's Health Special Interest group.  Lisa holds a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from La Trobe University (1999), Melbourne Australia. In addition she is a qualified elite personal trainer and has a certificate in functional nutrition. She is committed to ongoing education and regualary attends pelvic health courses from experts all over the globe.  She is passionate about learning and always strives to be informed and up to date.
