About Lisa

Lisa has been a physiotherapist for over 25 years and is well-known for her special interest in the pelvic floor. As a mother of three children and a qualified personal trainer, she is an advocate for safe return to exercise post-pregnancy. Her passion drove her to write and co-produce The Core & The Floor - New Zealand’s first post-pregnancy exercise programme; which has helped thousands of women get in shape following pregnancy.  She has written for several parenting publications and appeared on Television multiple times advocating the importance of pelvic floor health.

Lisa holds a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from La Trobe University, Melbourne Australia (1999), along with qualifications in personal training, yoga teaching, peri-menopausal health coaching and neuro-health education. In addition, she has studied functional nutrition and has a special interest in how diet can affect pelvic pain.   She has completed hundreds of hours of ongoing pelvic health education and regularly attends and teaches courses in the fields of pelvic health and well-being.

Lisa is a current and active member of Physiotherapy New Zealand’s Pelvic, Women's and Men's Health Special Interest group, Continence New Zealand, International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) and is the former New Zealand representative of the International Organization of Physical Therapists in Pelvic & Women's Health (IOPTPWH).

Lisa passionately believes in providing best-practice therapy; focused on the patient's individual needs, in a compassionate and nurturing environment.
